To help block the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yangpyeong Art Museum observes the guidelines of the central government. Specifically, the museum displays the notice on anti-infection, and asks visitors to wear masks and keep distances between them in vatching exhibitions.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic situation, Yangpyeong Art Museum in 2021 has secured various contents and will exhibit them in preparation of the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the museum. The museum tried to do its duty in making Yangpyeong cultural brands, and expanding the base of culture and arts to make the county residents happy, and enhancing local culture values. To achieve such goals, the museum has held special exhibitions, excavated local artists based on specialty, publicity, and soundness, and performed horizontal exchanges with local and national artists and art societies. The museum does its best to make the fine art of Yangpyeong County secure its good status in the country, and make itself as the museum where family members like to visit.

The first special exhibition of Yangpyeong Art Museum, 2021 Art Journey-1, Spring Project, Exhibition of Contemporary Art - Both Eyes will be held amid the anti-infection environment. Through the exhibition, the museum intends to express accordance between reality and reason in site reproduction.

Exhibitions will be held in four exhibition spaces with themes. The first space on the ground floor is where newly acquired artworks in 2020. The works are mainly on lyric natural scenes and old and new works in Korea and foreign countries. They suggest the direction of what the museum pursues. The second space is the slope space. It is the space for installation works which have opened new potentials of modern art. They create emotional aura transcending visual and other senses and showing conceptual expansion.

The third space is Room 1 on the second floor. The works with formative symbolic beauty formulated as fragments of our lives pursue individual independences and meet spatial empty parts stimulate poetic turn of mind of spectators. The forth space is composed of artworks which express accidents latent in our memories as simplified minimal art, and the contemplative secret world of the works stimulates the esthetic sense of modern people.

The final and fifth space is the high-light of the exhibitions. It is the space where cubic sculptures and installations are fused, and media age arts create collaboration. The artworks in this space will make mutual interaction of artworks with metaphysical formative beauty and spectators, and will create fantasia of what are visible and invisible by relational interpretation of spectators.
